1. The process of establishing and maintaining a field for athletic competition can be daunting. However, understanding the type of turfgrass needed for the facility’s location is paramount to avoiding possible difficulties. What is the best turfgrass type to use in your region of the country: cool-season turfgrass or warm-season turfgrass? Based on what you have learned about each, which type would you use, and why? Your response should be at least 400 words in length.
2. Numerous green solutions exist to help conserve resources, which has become a major trend in the planning and management of sport facilities. List and describe some ways that a facility manager can avoid waste and loss of revenue by using green facility management strategies.
   Your response should be at least 200 words in length.
3. Facility managers must plan for equipment maintenance needs as part of their facility maintenance plan. This includes examining trends to determine if there are future needs or if more efficient equipment is available. Identify and describe the six basic maintenance scheduling categories. Your response should be at least 200 words in length.
